The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing, under normal market circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets in dividend-paying companies. The adviser intends to invest a substantial portion of its assets in publicly listed equity securities of U. S. mortgage REITs and business development companies that invest in residential and commercial loans and securities, business loans to private companies, and various types of derivatives for both investment and risk management purposes.
