It employs strict ESG criteria, barring entities that fail to meet specific standards, such as those involved with controversial armaments, possessing an MSCI ESG Rating of 'CCC' or being unrated, or deriving revenue from sectors like tobacco, conventional weapons, nuclear weapons, civilian firearms, thermal coal, unconventional/Arctic oil and gas extraction, and palm oil. Furthermore, any issuer with an MSCI Controversies Score of zero is excluded.
