It also operates the Australian Rare Earth Mineral Refinery, which is involved in the downstream processing of mixed rare earth carbonate to produce minerals, such as neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium.

The company was formerly known as VHM Exploration Limited and changed its name to VHM Limited in November 2018.
