This Reference Index comprises all companies found in the standard S&P 500, but crucially, it assigns an equal weighting to each constituent security, rather than weighting them based on their float-adjusted market capitalization. This approach aims to provide a size-neutral reflection of the US large-cap equity market, encompassing approximately 80% of the available market's total value.
