SHYM invests in income-generating US municipal bonds that are exempt from federal alternative minimum tax, which have maturities of five years or longer. While the fund may invest in bonds of any credit rating, HYMU intends to invest 65% or higher in high-yield bonds. Bonds considered as distressed securities may take up 20%, if management perceives that they offer potential for higher returns.
