The WisdomTree Gold 1x Daily Short is a fully collateralized Exchange Traded Commodity (ETC) designed to offer investors inverse exposure to the price of gold. Its overall return is determined by the inverse daily movement of the Bloomberg Gold Sub Excess Return Index (BCOMGC), augmented by any interest accrued, and then adjusted for product-specific charges and expenses. To illustrate this mechanism, if the Bloomberg Gold Sub Excess Return Index advances by 1% over the course of a day, the ETC's value would decline by 1%, prior to accounting for fees. Conversely, should the index drop by 1% within the same day, the ETC would appreciate by 1%, again before any fees are applied.
