OCTU seeks to provide unlimited upside potential, subject to a spread, while preventing the realization of the first 15% of SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) losses. In exchange for this downside protection, investors forgo some upside returns, that is, the spread. The fund also foregoes the S&P 500s dividend component because the options are written on the price (not total) return version of the index.
