LSVD seeks long-term capital growth by investing in equity securities that are considered undervalued or out-of-favor based on the companys earnings, book value, revenues or cash flow. It may hold securities of any size but will typically hold companies with at least $1 billion in market cap. In constructing the portfolio, the fund uses a quantitative investment model wherein securities are ranked based on fundamental measures of value and indicators of near-term appreciation potential.
