The portfolio is actively managed and typically consists of 70-80% equity investments and 20-30% derivative instruments. For its equity component, the fund invests in US-listed stocks of any market capitalization, carefully chosen to align with the industries and company characteristics frequently targeted by PE funds. Security selection is guided by the sub-adviser's analysis of private equity data and proprietary analytical models. Regarding its derivative strategy, the fund employs futures contracts and related instruments. These are designed to amplify equity exposure and temper potential downside volatility when measured against public equity benchmarks. LQPE gains access to these futures contracts and other derivatives either directly or indirectly, which can involve committing up to 25% of its assets to a wholly-owned subsidiary based in the Cayman Islands. Additionally, the fund maintains holdings in cash, short-term U.S. Treasury securities, money market funds, and other liquid cash equivalents, primarily to serve as collateral.
