KBS Real Estate Investment Trust II, Inc. was formed on July 12, 2007 as a Maryland corporation that elected to be taxed as a real estate investment trust beginning with the taxable year ended December 31, 2008. The Company conducts its business primarily through KBS Limited Partnership II, a Delaware limited partnership formed on August 23, 2007, and its subsidiaries. The Company is the sole general partner of and directly owns a 0.1% partnership interest in the Operating Partnership.
