Its methodology applies an equal weighting to each security, with rebalancing occurring on a quarterly basis. It also encompasses firms engaged in energy conversion, storage, conservation, and efficiency, as well as those producing related materials, working on carbon and greenhouse gas reduction, pollution control, and developing nascent hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. Eligibility for inclusion requires securities to satisfy specific liquidity and tradability standards.
