The fund holds a basket of companies that score highly on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. The funds index uses MSCIs ESG rating methodology to assign a score to all US large- and mid-cap stocks. The index automatically screens out companies involved in severe business controversies as well as those companies engaged in alcohol, tobacco, gambling, weapons and nuclear power.
