Small-Cap Stocks List
Small-cap stocks are defined as companies with market capitalizations between $300 million and $2 billion. This market capitalization range is where things get more dynamic. Mid caps are often younger firms still building scale or niche players thriving in specialized markets.
Investors are drawn to small caps for their high growth potential. They can deliver outsized returns when business models take off, and they’re frequently at the forefront of innovation. Dividend investors will find fewer names here, but some small caps do reward shareholders with dividends as they grow more established.
Risks, however, are elevated. Small caps tend to face greater volatility, tighter access to capital, and more exposure to local or regional economic cycles. For many portfolios, they play the role of a higher-risk, higher-reward complement to larger holdings.
Our small-cap stocks list includes all NYSE and NASDAQ-listed stocks in this market capitalization range.
As discussed, different market caps mean different investing experiences, some steadier, others more dynamic. So, review all of our market cap stock lists to pinpoint where opportunity lies.
